COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates

Important Information for Puget Sound Gastroenterology Patients

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking the following precautions to protect our patients, staff, and providers.

We are offering telehealth visits, allowing our patients to get the care they need safely from home. Patients need to have access to a device with a camera and microphone. To schedule a telehealth visit, please call our office to see what options will work best.

For patients that need to be seen in the office, please call us and we can schedule an in-office appointment. As a reminder, all patients and visitors (along with all PSG employees) will be screened upon arrival at our care centers. Learn more here about all we’re doing to keep you safe.

We are requesting patients to attend appointments alone if at all possible. We will limit each patient to one visitor only at his/her appointment. All visitors will also be required to complete a screening questionnaire upon entering the facility.

If you or anyone in your home is experiencing signs or symptoms of a respiratory illness or is running a fever, we ask that you call to schedule a telehealth visit.

Our Infusion Center will remain open, but we will operate on a reduced schedule to accommodate social distancing.

Effective May 18, 2020, our Endoscopy Centers have resumed procedures, following guidelines from the Washington State Department of Health and the CDC. Our team has begun reaching out to patients to reschedule procedures that had been postponed due to COVID-19, beginning with those whose health will be most negatively impacted by any further delay in care.

In order to assist our community with the burden to all healthcare facilities during this time, we ask that you contact our office first for any urgent gastroenterology conditions prior to going to an emergency room or urgent care office. Those facilities will be overloaded, and we all need to try not to burden the system. We will do our best to treat your urgent need and only direct you to those locations if necessary.

Our team at PSG appreciate the trust you place in us to care for your gastroenterology needs. During this unprecedented time, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through the coming weeks. We can assure you we will do our best to continue to deliver the best care possible for all our patients. We encourage you to stay informed, practice social distancing, and assist our communities in getting through this time as safely as possible.
